Introduction

MDEA  natural gas desulphurization  (desulfurization) skid, also called MDEA sweeting skid and natural gas desulfurization unit,  is a key device in natural gas purifying or natural gas conditioning.

MDEA natural gas desulfurization unit is always adopted when the carbon sulfur of feed gas is relatively high , and when selective removal of H2S is needed to obtain acid gas suitable for Claus plant processing, and other conditions that can be selected to remove H2S; When removing H2S and removing a considerable amount of CO2, MDEA can be used as the mixed amine method;

At present, the main desulfurization technologies used in industrial production at home and abroad are: dry (physical) desulfurization, biological desulfurization and wet desulfurization.

Wet desulfurization includes absorption method and wet oxidation method. Chemical absorption method, represented by alcohol amine absorption, has been widely used in industry. Hydrogen sulfide in gas is transferred to liquid phase to purify gas.

Desulfurization technology

Biological desulfurization technology, in the condition of micro oxygen, can convert hydrogen sulfide into elemental sulfur, but the technology of biological desulfurization is not mature at present.

Dry desulfurization technology includes iron oxide method, activated carbon method, molecular sieve method, ion exchange method, membrane separation method, biochemical method, etc. at present, dry PSA technology is the most widely used in small-scale natural gas desulfurization treatment in industry, which is fully computer-controlled, automatic operation, and automatic removal of fault tower, so as to realize long-term safe operation.

Amorphous iron hydroxide (dry process). Features: it has the characteristics of high desulfurization precision, high sulfur capacity, good strength and unattended. It is widely used in the removal of hydrogen sulfide in natural gas, synthetic gas, biogas, coal gas, coalbed methane and various chemical sulfur-containing materials; The amorphous hydroxyl oxidation desulfurization is a reaction desulfurization, which can not control the desulfurization depth. It is a fine desulfurization process. With the saturation of desulfurizer and the penetration of desulfurization tower, the desulfurization effect will decrease significantly, and the content of hydrogen sulfide in purified natural gas will rise sharply, so it is necessary to replace the desulfurizer in time.
