LNG production plant2.3      Feed gas Drying Unit

1) Process description

The deacidified natural gas enters the feed gas drying unit. The device adopts the temperature swing adsorption technology to separate and purify the gas. The temperature swing adsorption technology is based on the physical adsorption of the gas molecules on the internal surface of the adsorbent (porous solid matter), and the adsorption of the gas by the adsorbent is used. The characteristic that the capacity varies with the adsorption temperature and pressure. Under the condition that the adsorbent selectively adsorbs different gas components, some components in the mixed gas are adsorbed at low temperature and high pressure, and the unadsorbed components flow out through the adsorber layer., the adsorbed components are desorbed at high temperature and low pressure for the next low temperature and high-pressure adsorption, and multiple adsorption towers can be used to achieve the purpose of continuous gas separation.

The feed gas drying and heavy hydrocarbon removal unit is equipped with three adsorbers for switching operations, one for adsorption, one for cold blowing, and one for heating regeneration.

 

The feed gas from the deacidification unit enters the top of the adsorber, and after the moisture is removed by molecular sieve adsorption, it comes out from the bottom of the adsorber. After dehydration, the natural gas enters the mercury removal tower.

The feed gas drying unit uses a small amount of feed gas as a medium for cold blowing and regeneration. After the regeneration gas leaves the adsorption tower, it is cooled and separated and returned to the inlet of the drying tower in the adsorption state.

The regeneration gas first passes through the cooled adsorber from top to bottom, then the regeneration gas is heated to a regeneration temperature of 180-260 ℃ by a regeneration heater , and then enters from the bottom of the adsorber to absorb the water adsorbed by the adsorbent. The regeneration gas comes out from the top of the dryer, and after being cooled by the regeneration cooler, it enters the regeneration gas separator, and the liquid in it is separated and returned to the front end of the adsorber.

After passing through this unit, the water in the dry natural gas is ≤1ppm.

The main equipment is adsorption tower, regeneration heater, regeneration gas cooler and regeneration gas separator.

2) Design parameters

Feed gas processing capacity:10×10 4 Nm 3 /d

Operating pressure: 5.2 Mpa.G

Adsorption temperature: 40 ℃

Regeneration temperature: 180 ℃ ~260 ℃

Regenerative heat source: heat transfer oil heating

The content of H2O in the purified gas is ≤ 1ppm

2.4     Feed gas mercury removal unit

1) Process description

The natural gas after de-heavy hydrocarbons first enters the sulfur-impregnated activated carbon adsorber. Mercury reacts with the sulfur on the sulfur-impregnated activated carbon to generate mercury sulfide, which is adsorbed on the activated carbon to achieve the purpose of mercury removal. The mercury content of the natural gas coming out of the mercury remover is less than 0.01μg/Nm3.

Mercury remover is set up, and the sulfur-impregnated activated carbon is replaced according to the detection conditions.

The demercured natural gas enters the filter unit.

2) Design parameters

Feed gas processing capacity:10×10 4 Nm 3 /d

Operating pressure: 5.0Mpa.G

Adsorption temperature: 40 ℃

The content of Hg in the purified gas is ≤ 0.01μg/Nm 3

3) Scope of adaptation:50%~110%.

2.5    Feed gas Filtration Unit

 

1) Process description

The filter unit is equipped with a filter, which can be switched and used according to the resistance data to achieve the purpose of filtering molecular sieve and activated carbon dust.

After dedusting, the dust particles in the feed gas are less than 10 μm.

The main equipment is dust filter.

Feed gas processing capacity:10×10 4 Nm 3 /d

2) Design parameters

Operating pressure: 5Mpa.G

The content of dust in the purified gas is ≤ 5μm
