The usage of LPG recovery

LPG has been introduced to the market as a clean fuel. After running on the road for so many years, is it really clean? LPG has the potential to become a clean fuel. Its excellent emission performance is an important reason.

Details are as follows:
Compared with gasoline engine, CO emission will be reduced (not as low as diesel engine).
No emissions of heavy hydrocarbons.
Low emissions of toxic substances such as benzene and butadiene.
Low cold start and discharge.
It is more stable than gasoline engine in terms of maintaining better emission. LPG harmful gas will not increase due to engine reforming and aging.Due to the good sealing of the fuel system, there are no evaporation and oil leakage problems.
For various reasons, LPG has not been used as a substitute for future fuel. Its role has been replaced by natural gas competing with diesel and synthetic diesel. As a result, more sophisticated LPG engines were not developed. In the past decade, gasoline engines and their emissions have been greatly improved. Therefore, LPG fuel, which was considered to have many advantages in the past, especially its low CO emission, is ignored.
In fact, all LPG engines are converted from gasoline engines. The engineering design does not take advantage of the potential low emission of LPG. These engines and fuel control systems are not optimized for this new fuel, and still have the attributes of poor original performance, high fuel consumption and amplified emission of harmful gases. This expressiveness and emission attributes usually vary depending on the engine and conversion combination. The electronic LPG conversion device shall provide the lowest exhaust emission and the most effective combustion performance. But there is not enough data to confirm this claim. The engine manufactured by mechanical conversion alone is far from reaching the ideal low emission attribute of LPG. It is wise to ask the retailer for emission data when you buy an indoor LPG vehicle. Unfortunately, however, it is nothing new that the CO emission level of new LPG vehicles is 2-4%. As a principle standard, it is acceptable that the emission concentration of CO of LPG engine under stable state shall be less than 1%.
The emission of LPG is mainly based on the running state of the engine. From the sensitivity of LPG emissions to the mixture ratio of air and oil, it can be seen that when the mixture ratio is greater than that of air, the content of carbon monoxide increases linearly. We should attach great importance to the adjustment and maintenance of the correct operating state of the engine for low emission, but we must not rely solely on this adjustment and maintenance.
